What is an Elder?

We are a church shepherded by a team of Elders called an Eldership. An Eldership is a plurality of Biblically qualified men who oversee, care, pray, support, feed, and protect a local body of believers (called the church). (Acts 20:28) & (1 Peter 5:1-11). They focus on the church's spiritual needs and ensure the people's needs are met through the Deacons and Service Ministries. Other responsibilities of an Elder are: he must be able to teach and "He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it." - Titus 1:9. You can read more about Elder qualifications in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and Ephesians 4:11-16.
